#5 Photo blog: Chiang Mai City Night Market, Chiang Mai

This is a picture from the weekend night market in the Chiang Mai City. This market is the biggest night market there, however, although there exist many night markets which are on throughout the week. The lady above is making dumplings similar to gyoza. I think I got a chicken filling, it was yummy but I think I had better street food in Thailand, for me it was lacking a depth of flavour. The food at the Lang Mor Night Market is much nicer.

I like the this photo as I managed to isolate the subject and frame her a bit with the pole, I don’t think framing was intentional though, probably more of a happy accident.

This a cool market stall where they sell sculpted soaps which look like flowers. They make very nice gifts. They were available throughout the market but this stall was the nicest and also best value. I like how happy the man looks, probably because we just bought some nice soaps from him

This was one the most unexpectedly nice things we had. At this stall, they serve these sausages which are made with meat and rice. The twist is that the sausage had a green curry flavour. Definitely would try this again!
