#9 Photo blog: Autumn in Highgate Woods, London

This is the first year I have paid more attention to the seasons changing in Highgate Wood. I took the below picture of this tree which I thought stood out whilst walking there with my wife. The bird box is what initially drew me as well as the colours, although, at this time of the year, woods are basically a sea of orange.

I did edit the photo a bit in Snapseed after sending the JPEG from the camera directly to my phone. I’ve found that I prefer this approach a lot of the time as it bypasses the need to edit a raw file on my computer. Unfortunately, the A6000 doesn’t seem to be able to send the RAW file, otherwise I could try to edit that, apparently Snapseed does that too. The main edits I made were to increase the brightness, brightness and sharpness a bit as the picture was taken when it was a bit darker. To be honest, I feel like the JPEGs the A6000 produce are very good.
